Ketchikan, Alaska 05.28.09
Editor's Note: These bottles were found a shelf in a shop along Creek Street. Creek Street has a colorful history. During Prohibition, the buildings played host to a number of bordellos. Behind the buildings is small path called the "Married Man's Trail". The trail begs the question: was it used for married men so as to avoid temptation by going from one end of the street to the other without using the Boardwalk which ran in front of the houses? Or, was it to give cover to men who wished to go unobserved as they entered the houses?
As for Alaska, I'll say it again. I'd go back again in a heartbeat!
